Where I'm not the buy

Some work is better done by someone else. These are the five places where that is true, said up front rather than three weeks into an engagement.

  1. Scale engineering If the problem is millions of concurrent users or a platform team to run them, you want a specialist and I am not one.
  2. Deep security specialism Penetration testing, compliance audit and threat modelling are their own discipline, and I will point you at someone who does only that.
  3. Brand-facing design I build interfaces that are clear and accessible, but identity, campaign and marketing-site design belong with a designer.
  4. Weekday responsiveness I hold a full-time role, so weekday replies land at the edges of the day and work that needs an answer within the hour is a poor fit.
  5. Single-industry depth I bring patterns that carry across industries rather than twenty years inside yours, which is the wrong trade when you need a domain veteran.
